Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 28, 2026
HidePDF is designed so your documents never leave your device. This policy explains what we do—and do not—collect when you use hidepdf.com.
Your PDF files
HidePDF does not upload, store, or transmit your PDF files to our servers. All redaction happens locally in your browser using JavaScript. We cannot access, view, or recover the content of files you process with the tool.
Personal data we do not collect from documents
Because files are not uploaded, we do not collect names, account numbers, medical information, or any other content from your PDFs through the redaction workflow.
Cookies and analytics
HidePDF does not use cookies for advertising or tracking your documents. If we enable privacy-friendly analytics in the future, those cookies would be limited to understanding aggregate site usage (for example, page views). They would not receive your PDF content.
Server logs
Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log standard technical data when you request a page—such as IP address, browser type, and requested URL. These logs are used for security and reliability, not to read your PDFs.
Third-party CDNs
The tool loads open-source libraries (such as PDF.js) from public CDNs when you visit the site. Those requests fetch JavaScript files, not your documents.
